D'Agostino Racing is proud to announce that we have teamed-up with Liberty Gear to supply you with the 26-Spline Input Shaft Conversion Kit for your T-56 Equipped Mustangs. Unfortunately for cost reasons FORD opted for the 10-Spline T-56 Versions for the Mustang Cobra opposed to the 26-Spline Versions used in such vehicles as the Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Dodge Viper, Pontiac GTO and Trans-Am.
The 26-Spline Version T-56 can withstand well over 600rwhp/rwtq without having any problems. The 10-Spline on the other hand has its limits, and sadly for the car nuts like ourselves the limit is only 550 rwhp/rwtq. Anything over that and you are walking a thin line from literally twisting the input shaft. Our 2003 Cobra when equipped with a Kenne Bell making 612rwhp/590rwtq twisted the stock 10-Spline Shaft the first time at the track. We replaced it with a Liberty Gear 26-Spline Input Shaft and never looked back!
